He got into this by just applying and sending off his work. Davids theme of work is people and places.

"This body of work is part of a wider project involving 8 artists of varying different practices inquiring into Mansfields current socioeconomic climate given the prolonged period of volatility sparked by the withdrawal of its primary industry in the early 1990's."

He has done work about people and their environment including himself and where he grew up, in photos of his own environment he explores alot of memories and its very personal to him.

This photo was taken in a working mans club, most of the people in this shot didnt know the photo was being took. He is shooting on a colour film camera.

Salbastio Salgado

He is a Brazilian social documentary photographer and a photojournalist and has travelled to 100 countries to take his photos.
He was taking photos of humans in their natural condition, poverty is a key theme through out his photos. (black and white photographer and used 35mm film camera)

They are educational type of pictures and is saying "can you live with this world" he wanted to make the rest of the world see how people were living and wasn't bothered in taking pretty photos.

His photos are revealing reality and wants people to know that they're still people that are living like this 40 years on in poverty in africa. All of his pictures are very emotional but still beautiful it shows that nothing really justifies the reasons for war or poverty. A photo that took one second to take shows a lot of meaning and what is happening in the world that most people didn't even realise.

A lot of people would come up to him and ask for their photograph to be took so that the rest of the world would understand how they are living and it would show the right message.
